// The Product Review //

For the my review, I was given the opportunity to pick four lip balms to review from Eco Lips. After looking at all the neat lip balms I could try, I choose these four: the Gold Unflavored lip balm, Eco-Tints in Sugar Plum lip tint, Pure & Simple Kiwi-Strawberry lip balm; and lastly the Calming lip balm in Lavender Lemon. I'm going to be going through each lip balm one by one so that I can share my thoughts on each one individually.

Organic Gold Unflavored Lip Balm

This lip balm is very basic, as it's unscented, making for a moisturizing lip balm without the fancy stuff, which would be perfect for people who may be allergic to certain scents or extra ingredients. It works very well and has a nice consistency, but I've found that personally I enjoy the lip balms from Eco Lips that are scented, as I think they are just more fun to use. However this organic lip balm works well, and is completely organic, making it very friendly to people wanting to stay away from harmful ingredients.

Unfortunately, I wasn't extremely impressed with this lip tint. I've had good experiences with lip tints that I've used in the past from other companies, and love how you can get a moisturizer and a bit of color all in one lip product. When looking over the shade choices on the website for the Eco Tints, I decided on the shade Sugar Plum since it's a nice color-not too dark or too light.

After trying out the lip tint though, I found several things I didn't like so much. First off, I don't know if the lip tint I receive just wasn't a good batch or something, but the lip tint was very thick and hard to get on my lips because it doesn't have a easy application consistency. It was very caky feeling on my lips, and just felt too dry. Now again, I don't know if this was just an off batch or something, so please don't avoid trying a Eco Tint out yourself if you'd like to, just because the one I was sent wasn't the best. But aside from the dryness, I found that while it is tinted, you have to put a lot on to see the color, and it was more of a lip balm than a color for me, however this is usually the case with most tinted lip products. So really my only complain with this product was the dryness. However on the positive side, it smells like vanilla and has a very pleasant scent, and would be great for people who like firmer lip balms that aren't on the overly soft side!

Relax Calming Lip Balm in Lavender Lemon

This lip balm has a very nice calming effect to it due to the lovely lavender scent, accompanied by a hint of lemon. However the main scent I smelled when I use it was lavender, and it more on the strong side so I was able to smell it even after putting it on. While it is a bit strong, it would be perfect for a lavender lover, and is a nice jumbo-sized lip balm. The consistency of the lip balms was very nice and very moisturizing and soft.

I thought it was really neat how this lip balm came with a handy little lip balm holder, which they call the Eco Clip. It has a very sturdy metal clip that makes carrying a lip balm on a key ring or purse easy, and has a plastic cap holder, making for easy access to a lip balm. While I found that the plastic used for the cap holder didn't smell all that great, and sometimes would affect the scent of a lip balm I was carrying it on after a couple days of it being in the cap holder; it did work well and the lip balms were always very secure in the holder.

Pure & Simple Kiwi-Strawberry Lip Balm

I can easily say without having to think twice, that this lip balm is my favorite of all the ones I was sent to try out. I just love the scent as it's nice and fruity and not overly strong but still pleasant and fresh. The lip balm itself is very moisturizing and in my opinion the perfect consistency. It's firm yet not overly so, and glides on easily and moisturizes my lips very well. I have been using this lip balm multiple times every day since receiving it, and just love it! This is definitely a lip balm that I would carry in my pocket and put on throughout the day.

Another thing I love about this lip balm, along with all the others that Eco Lips sells, if how they are all completely organic, so I don't have to worry about nasty products when using this lip balm. In my opinion it's the ideal lip balm; and one I'd totally purchase!
