Review & Giveaway :: One Thing I Desire : To Know Christ More By Sarah Bryant

Good afternoon, ladies! Sorry about this week's giveaway post being up a bit late...I've had a busy past coulde of days! This past weekend I was busy helping clean some friends houses and babysitting to earn the last bit I needed to buy a Kindle! I'm super excited about that and ordered it last night, so I'm hoping it will arrive soon. :) {If anyone is curious as to which one I got then just click HERE to see which one}

But back to the post-today I have the pleasure of sharing about one of my dear friends, Sarah's new book that just came out! I first "met" Sarah four years ago when I subscribed to her wonderful magazine The King's Blooming Rose, and ever since have been deeply encouraged and inspired by her friendship! I have always enjoyed receiving her quarterly magazine, The Kings Blooming Rose, and to this day have ever single issue going as far back as 2008! She has written two books: The Family Daughter and she just recently released her newest book called One Thing I Desire: To Know Christ More!

About The Kings Blooming Rose ::

Here is a bit of information on  The Kings Blooming Rose Ministry which was taken off their website:

"Would you like to receive encouragement in your walk with Christ? Would you like to meet other Christian young ladies and families serving our King? We invite you to join us on our journey to Biblical womanhood!

The purpose of our ministry is to encourage young ladies to grow closer to Christ in their daily walk, and to become delightful cornerstones at home under the guidance of their parents according to Titus two and Proverbs 31.

KBR Ministries has several branches: a quarterly
magazine The King's Blooming Rose, encouraging books, stationery and cards, and a monthly forum for daughters. This is a ministry of homeschool graduate Sarah Bryant, under the wisdom and guidance of her parents; read about the story and family behind KBR Ministries here."

Today, I would like to share you you mainly about her new book, so here is the back cover description of this encouraging new read:

"What is your deepest desire?

Has your life been engulfed by one consuming passion — that you would more deeply know your Savior Jesus Christ and the fullness of the Gospel?

We are given only one life — one blink of an eye in light of a shoreless eternity. What is our purpose in this earthly life? The greatest command is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, yet how do we love a God we do not know? We know how to fit into the "right Christian circles" and say all the "right things" — but do we personally know the Author of our salvation?

Sarah's desire is to challenge young ladies to pour out their lives in the Scriptures, seeking the face of their Savior — in the days of their youth. This is vital, so that they will be equipped to teach the next generation about the faithfulness of God.

One Thing I Desire is penned to encourage you in your quest to seek and know your Redeemer through His Word, that your heart would be enraptured by Christ's great work accomplished in the Gospel.

The grandeur of this One Thing will spur you to love Him more with all of your heart, soul, and mind — and to worship Him throughout all of eternity."

The Book Review ::
I was very excited when I first heard about Sarah's new book, One Thing I Desire. I have read her first book, The Family Daughter around three times in the past two years, and have always found encouragement through it!

This was a very inspiring read. I felt convicted, enlighted and inspired by Sarah's words and would highly recommend this book to any young lady looking for encouragement in her daily walk with Christ. The 6 chapters in this book include: Looking unto Jesus, A Captivating Quest, On Bent Knees, All These Vain Things, A Living Sacrifice, Facedown and also include sections on Personal Evaluations and "Food for Spiritual Revival". Before reading this book, I felt like I was in a "desert" spirtualy, and fel very "dry", but this book helped me get re-motivated and inspired me to pray more often, consider the thimgs I spend my time on, and get back into the habbit of devotin time to the Lord each and every day.

I really enjoyed this read it was just the "spirtual food" I needed to help me get back on track. I would HIGHY encourage each and every young lady looking to deppen her relationship with Christ to read this book!
